Headphones not recognized in Preferences, System Default is the only one Musescore 4
Despite my headphones being the default device in Windows sound settings, Musescore will not recognize them as an audio device and only lists System Default, which, contrary to its name, does not use the default audio device (headphones). When I try to use Musescore with headphones, the playback bar will appear but not move, and editing notes will not produce audio. When headphones are removed, playback DOES work through my laptop speakers.
Windows 11
Musescore 4.5.1
I have deleted and reinstalled
I have restarted
I have turned off exclusive mode
I have tried using different headphones

Reinstall almost never helps, Help > Revert to factory settings much more often
Also make sure the headphones are available before starting MuseScore, they won't be recognized after

Both factory resetting and plugging in headphones beforehand failed.

System default is what is shown when headphones are plugged in on my W11 system also. Sound is fine. There should be a down arrow that may show headphones. If so, try that. What is the buffer size? Mine is 1024.

There is no down arrow; the only option is System Default. Also, the buffer size option is blanked out. Clicking it will do nothing, and it does not say what buffer size it is.
