How to enter Num+ as a part of the keyboard shortcut.

The old keyboard shortcut was Num+3; I would like to use Num+6. However, if i click 6 on the num-pad, I get 6 as the shortcut; if I type Num+, then as I type I get the shortcut displaying as SHIFT+N U M. How do I set Num+6 as a shortcut?
