incorrect Rests: how do i delete them
I'm trying to move some music from paper to musescore so i can hear how it sounds (there is no recording) i've set it to 4/4 and put in 4 beats worth of notes but there is still a random whole or half rest tagged onto the end (making the bar have 6 to 8 beats instead of 4) how do i fix this

Right click the measure->Properties->set duration?
Or Tools/Measure->split, then Ctrl+Del the not required.
easier with a picture....... for me , surely 2 voices playing at the same time
It is always best to attach your score so we can understand and assist better. Right now it's hard to guess what these rests are - something in another voice, perhaps, or maybe you accidentally used "insert mode" to add extra beats to the measure for some reason.
