Musescore goes directly to "crash-reporter" and refuses to advance to where it opens a file. re-Install creates an "old" version.

The first time this occurred I had accepted the latest Windows 10 update - which required a forced a shutdown of MuseScore 3. So I tried uninstalling and reinstalling MuseScore 3 with no luck. In fact, the "date modified" for the MuseScore3.exe file after reinstalling was J(7/8/2019) even though I had just installed it on (10/4/2019). I tried deleting the July file and re-doing the uninstall / install and it restored the MuseScore3.exe to the July (7/8/2019) version.

Is there a way to avoid or disable the crash-reporter?
