Dynamics + Hairpins not displaying correctly (score + parts discrepancy)
I am trying to finish a piece for orchestra with a held note in the string section fading to nothing. I have indicated this with a fermata, as well as a hairpin with "p" beforehand and "n" after.
Right now it's displaying almost correctly in the parts (fig. 1 – I would like the hairpin to be a little bit longer, but on the whole it's not bad) but it's not working for the score (fig. 2).
Initially, I was able to get it to display correctly in the score by entering the first dynamic, then the hairpin, then clicking on the hairpin and clicking on the second dynamic marking (fig. 3), but this causes the second dynamic to not display in the parts (fig. 4).
Adding the dynamic marking manually in the part causes the part to look like fig. 1 again, but causes the same issue in the score in fig. 2.
how can I get the score and parts to both look correct?

In general, it is better to attach the actual score, not just a picture. As it is, I can see you are dealing with a whole note in the very last measure, and there was a bug in that specific case that is fixed in 3.3. So you might try the release candidate (see the Development forum) to test and verify your case is fixed.
