musescore 3
I cannot get the keyboard to play through musescore (no music printed on screen) and when I use the virtual keyboard (ctr + P) all I get are rests and not notes. Any idea.
In case it's relavent, on my midi lead, I have two switches: Advanced driver, which is switched to off, and midi thru, also switched to off.

Based on the comment about the build-in piano keybaord window not working, my guess is you are not the standard step-time note input mode. Be sure you see the "N" icon top left, if not, select it from the drop-down next to the icon.
