Filling notes with smaller ones?

I am attempting a Black Midi type of score and I was wondering if there was a way that I could select a note, such as a quarter note, and fill the entire length of the note with a smaller integer of note, such as a 16th or 32nd, without having to place each note individually in that space.

If you goal is to see 16th notes on the score, there is no easy way to split the note into smaller notes. If you goal is only for playback, like in a Midi output, then this is what tremolos do. In the advanced workspace there is a tremolo palette. If you hover your mouse over the ones with a stem through them, you will see that the tremolo with 1 line will play 8th notes, 2 lines is 16 notes and so forth. There are also tremolos between notes, that will alternate between two notes of the same length as 8th,16th and so forth notes just as the tremolo through the stem plays a single note.
