Need some inspiriations
Struggle just with an excerpt of an arrangement I'm working on (will be later an arrangement for trumpet, saxophone, piano and drums). Especially from measure nine to sixteen it sounds to neat/boring and sometimes not correct for me (and as mentioned sometimes before I'm first of all an autodidact by that ;). Maybe someone can advice me.
note: I don't speak about the harmonies themselves (it's from "twinkle, twinkle little star" respectively "ah vous dirai je maman" respectively "Morgen kommt der Weihnachtsmann" ;-) but about good sounding patterns for this chord progression.

Maybe for explanation, the result I'm working on should should be sound in a way similar as attached (indeed it's inspired of Scott Bradlee's "twinkle twinkle" and W.A. Mozart's KV265;) - but as mentioned is still work in progress.
(and don't wonder, I forgot to disable the "concert pitch" in the attached file)
FWIW attached the actual state. Wished, I would have more knowledge about arranging swing, expressions like tempo changes, playing around with articulations and so on ;-).

I've missed this before. Even if it's late, let me contribute.
I added two documents. Maybe it'il help.

Thanks Ziya :-). Just working on another score, will later play around with the drums pattern and chord progression.

That sounds like a good idea. I find working on another score one of the best ways to gain inspiration.
FWIW attached the (zipped ogg file) result of a live session recorded from a simple Smartphone. Please be tolerant: it's still a nonprofessional student band, as mentioned one first time of a live session and I've only nonprofessional skills of arranging. Thank's again for your suggestions.
