Musescore 3 Playback

I'm a new user.... I am trying to play-back a score with Flute (1 stave) and Harpsichord (2 staves). The playback sound is broken and stuttering. I've attached the score and an MIDI file, but I suspect it's a buffering issue in the interface with my PC (iMac running Catalina).
Any assistance much appreciated.
