Ties
Thank you very much for the help you kindly gave me yesterday.
I am finding difficulty in tieing two notes as follows:
I have a bar of 4 over 4. it includes a dotted minim followed by two quavers. I want to tie the dotted minim to the first of the two quavers. Please could you explain how to do this? Thank you.

The two notes must be of the same pitch. For example both F#, if one is an F natural you cannot tie them together. To tie them after you have entered them, select the first and press + or click the tie note icon on the toolbar. To tie them while you are entering the notes, enter the first note, select the length of the second note and either press + or click the tie on the toolbar. The second note with the same pitch will be entered and tied to the previous note. The tie on the toolbar looks like two crotchets with a tie between them.
