Keyboard key assignment not working

• Dec 19, 2019 - 15:05

Hi

I try get USB numpad working with my MAC (Catalina 10.15.2) and Musescore (3.3.4.24412) .

The numpad does not have decimal point (.) It has comma (,)
I can reassign point . by .,NumPad+,
After the assignment the note extension does not work. However, having just one either . or NumPad+, the extending works.
Why the combination does not work? Is it a bug?

Thanks for you help

I got it working.
The only way to get 2 different keys working is to add the second one after the first one has been created.
The correct syntax is with ; (not with , ).
The non working was .,NumPad+,
The working one is .;NumPad+,

Of course, semicolon is the separator, not comma. The shortcut dialog handles that correctly
That 1st one does exist by default (maybe not for Mac?, if so that'd be a bug I guess), so you just need to add the 2nd.
The comma denotes a key sequence, pressed one after the other, soe for ".,NumPad+," to work you'd need to press dot, release, then then NumPad comma, which doesn't make much sense here

See also #63301: Comma as a shortcut won't get saved, which was about fixing exactly/mainly that NumPad+comma issue
