Making changes after basic score is determine
After working extensively on a score I would like to change the instrumentation. Is it possible to do, if so, how?
I hate to think of starting from scratch and transcribing everything again.

Press ì add the Instrument, use copy&paste?
When you save, keep a copy with another name
Edit / Instruments lets you add & delete instrument staves. Right-click a staff, Staff Properties, Change Instrument lets you change the instrument used by an existing staff.
