Computer freezes - File I was working on corrupted
3.3.4.9066
For the last while I have been experiencing computer freezes. I am not sure if they predate this version. I have been checking the operating system (Win 10) trying to sort the problem out.
The freeze forces me to do a hard shutdown using the power key. All programs can be restarted (including MS) and as I boot them they all ask if they should restore the previous session.
Today I had a hard freeze and when I booted up MS I was greeted with the start centre rather than the restore message.
I tried to load the previous score I had been working on from recent scores when I got this pop-up:
I will load the backup and proceed. I attach the corrupted file FYI.
What I was doing:
I had a score with 2 voices in various bars of a piano part. I had added 1/2 note triplets to both voices (6 in the bar) and notes and rests to fill the bar(s) and then for cosmetic purposes I had removed extra rests.
The program responded with the message telling me I had corrupted bars.
I erased and rewrote the bars but the program would not accept the rewrites. I then replace the measures (insert), rewrote the bars, closed and reopened and voila, it loaded.
It was at this point that the computer crashed and the score was unreadable.
I am unsure that I should report this as a bug as I do not know if MS is the cause of the crashes.
I will do so on direction.

I'm afraid the attached file is unrecoverable.
