Beam Properties 10-8 Time - How ?
I wish to enter into MuseScore a bar that switches to 10-8 time, it looks like the attachment (10-8 bar.png)
for the life of me, MuseScore won't let me separate the beams to show like this
Beam properties doesn't seem enabled to do it. Any idea how I go about it? Greatly appreciated...

Thanks, tried all the info, but unable to make the changes to show as the as-shown picture.

You can definitely make them look like that, using only the first two elements in beam section of the palettes. Be aware that they should be applied to a note, not an existing beam, so click on a note then double-click on one of the beam elements.

OK... so you have the 10/8 measure with notes entered?
What steps do you perform next, what happens, and what do you expect?
Please attach the score (or an excerpt containing the 10/8 measure).

All is needed (when starting from 5/4 signature) was:
1. Open the properties of the 5/4 time signature in the score and make its text read 10/8
2. Enter notes
3. At the places where there currently is a beam, select the note that should be the first note of the new group and apply 'start beam' from the palette on it.
Inspect attached to see which notes had been changed.
