Send midi out to VST and mute internal instrument
hi there! I am using EW Instruments as a standalone app on my mac, and sending midi data out of musescore to the app. But i cannot mute the internally assigned instrument in musescore. is there aw ay to do this, or to assign 'no instrument' inside musescore?

No. But you can turn down the volume of the internal synthesizer.

tried that and it also turns down the volume of the plugin

It shouldn't.
I'm talking about the volume of the synthesizer itself, not the mixer. https://musescore.org/en/handbook/3/synthesizer#fluid
