Piano sounds as if reverb is being applied
Hi All,
When I play my piano score in MuseScore, the audio almost sounds like the notes are being echoed. I'm not sure if this has always been the case but I feel that this has happened recently. When I export the score as midi into Ableton Live I don't get the issue. Any ideas please?

First, check your synthesizer settings to see whether the Zita1 reverb plugin is enabled: https://musescore.org/en/handbook/3/synthesizer#effects
If it isn't, then you might just be in need of a different soundfont within MuseScore; there are quite a few free ones around for Piano specifically: https://musescore.org/en/handbook/3/soundfonts-and-sfz-files#specialised

Briiliant, thank you very much. Yes, it was Zita that was enabled. Thank you for the extra information on Sound Fonts also. I do already have quite a few, but generally I move my score over to Ableton as midi when I'm ready but all this might be useful some other time.
