Adjusting volume of input midi keyboard

How does one adjust the volume of the midi keyboard independent of the playback velocity/volume of staffs when playing along? I want to increase the volume so that it is at least just as load as the score's playback. Increasing the master volume while decreasing the volume of the staff instruments doesn't change the midi keyboard's volume? My mini midi keyboard, Arturia Keystep, has no volume nobe.
