extra measures, and eighth note bars
I was able to entire an entire piece, but my initial count of the measures was far higher than was needed. How can I delete the extra measures, without doing it one by one? There are about two pages of empty measures. I inserted the final barline hoping that would work, but it did not.
Also, usually eighth and sixteenth notes (and triplets) have a connecting bar for each beat. For some unknown reason, the eighth notes are tied together in fours rather than twos, making them easy to confuse with sixteenth notes. How can I fix this?
Thanks for any help you can give. I don't want to send the whole file, so I hope you can understand from my description.

FWIW, the usual standard in modern music notation is to groups eighth notes in groups of four where possible. There are some older scores where groups of two were used, some individual publishers may still do this. But the normal recommendation is to use groups of four. That's because the basic rules for notation of rhythm are all based on note groupings of that length - the rules governing when you need to break long notes with ties to expose beat 3, when it's OK to have a note straddle a beat, etc. Only if sixteenths are actually present do the rules call for breaking the beam at each beat.
