Bar lines and time signatures....

• Apr 4, 2020 - 15:06

I'm transcribing Nikita Koshkin's Rain (for practice purposes only and because the page turns are awkward) and the piece is in free time (no time signature) with no bar lines. Is it possible to create a score like this or do I have to work out some sort of metric division and hide the bar lines at the end... this would be a bit of a chore, but understandable, one can't anticipate a composer's every whim!!!

Right click on the staff->instrument properties to deselect the time signature.
You can use the insert note input mode, but if the notes don't match inside the end of a system anymore, you've to split the measure the (via menu->tools) and select the barline invisible.
Also it's possible to select measures to join them (use the same menu entry).
Also possible right click on a measure and changing the actual duration in measure properties.
In general you should exclude these measures from measure count in measure properties.
