When 2 voices have same duration, flags should match.
At the moment I am writing a piece which requires that I use 2 or more voices.
Often when I am doing, if the duration is the same and the stems are pointing in different directions it makes it cluttered, so I will reverse the direction of a stem. These stems (then) line up.
However, it they have flags one ends up with 2 flags for an eighth. This then requires fiddling around to change the visibility of the extra flag, and often requires a manipulation of the length of the stem to get it to look proper.
Can this "matching of the flag" issue be addressed so the flags align properly to keep the same (proper) duration?
Let me know if I should file this as an issue. :)

Instead of reversing the stem, can you not just use the same voice for both notes? That will take care of the stem automatically.
I agree the "right" way to do this is to move the note to the other voice rather than flip the stem. And that's easily done, just select the note and click the voice button (while not in note input mode).
In at least some cases where you have multiple notes with the stem direction, you want to see them independently. Other times you don't. There should probably be some special technique for merging stems/flags just like there is for merging noteheads that otherwise wouldn't. Would be nice not to have to invent a new command for it but instead figure out a way to piggy-back on an existing one like we did for merging noteheads.
