Won’t let you update profile

First of all, I received unwanted messages from a user who I later blocked. I decided to change the setting so I couldn’t be messaged. It will not let you change anything without putting in your password and if you do, it still doesn’t change anything. I’ve tried on my phone and computer and nothing is working. I believe I had updated my profile last week and the issue wasn’t here
