Grace notes, acciaccatura and appoggiatura
Hi, I've been having problems with notating the correct form of grace notes, I'm just call all of these different formes for grace notes for simplicity.
What I'm trying to do is having a D preceded by F# and E in grace notes, but whatever I try to do the D will never be played on the beat, the F# and E will be played as 16th or 8th on the beat and never before.
I've tried acciaccatura and appoggiatura but they are just the same problem just slower or faster.
Is there option I'm missing or is there no way I can write them as grace notes to have them be played before the beat?

Write them as they should be seen; then change their playback position and duration in the Piano Roll Editor.
