scanning

I am having problems, after i scan my arrangements in musescore I get this message 'Adobe Acrobat Reader could not open '44e500de6321cd705d8c8004f938abd2d54fe8fc.mscz' because it is either not a supported file type or because the file has been damaged (for example, it was sent as an email attachment and wasn't correctly decoded).' and yet the program works with my other programs and not with musescore it was working when I had High Sierra but not with Catalina is there a program out there for Imacs
