Making crossed notehead act as palm-mute for guitar
I was wondering if there was a way to make the crossed notehead act as a palm-mute for the guitar in my score. The way I did it was to have a second track playing palm-mutes with 16th note staccatissimos, but it just seems more convenient to have channels for the guitar like for a string instrument playing pizzicato and arco in the same piece of music. Is there a way to make this possible, and if not, does a plug-in exist that allows for this to happen?

Electric guitars do have extra channels in the Mixer, just click the little arrow icon to expand the strip. If you are actually writing for acoustic guitar, it looks like this isn't set up, but you can change instrument to electric then change the sound back to acoustic.
