Just to make sure we're talking about the same thing: you mean the window coming up when trying to use File → Save Online.. ?

I believe there is a known issue that while on musescore.com directly you have the option to log on using the Apple ID, from inside the MuseScore program you don't.
Can't find it in the issue tracker though. Maybe I confuse it with such an issue with the iOS mobile app.

I'm pretty sure that "Log in with Apple" is new there
