Spare the need to press ESC in note input mode to make a range selection.

A very common use case is :
You've entered few notes, or measures and want to quickly manipulate the passage you've just entered. For that you need to range select it.
In note input mode you first need to exit that mode by pressing "N" , or ESC and then do a range selection with "Shift Arrow".

My suggestion is that pressing "shift + arrow" should automatically exit the note input mode and make a range selection. In my opinion the current command behaviour of swapping two last notes in the note input mode could be assigned to something less common, and less associated with range selection than "shift + arrow"
