How do I use the Solo Vox patch (sound) available from the Mixer as a staff Instrument Change option? Currently it can only access Choir Aahs.
How do I use the Solo Vox patch (sound) available from the Mixer as a staff Instrument Change option? Currently it can only access Choir Aahs.
"Add - Text - Instrument Change", followed by "Change Instrument - Vocals - Voice" uses the Choir Aahs mixer patch. I want to use the Solo Vox patch instead. Is there a way to make that work.
PS I want to make instrument changes within the part so I cannot use Mixer else it will change the entire part.
Thanks for any tips!

The sound you select in the mixer for playback is prefilled based on instrument choice, but not bound by it at all.
So if you apply a change instrument (even if it is to oboe for all we care) you can go into the mixer, unfold your instrument track to see all subtracks, select the newly created subtrack by the instrument change and assign it a sound of your liking.

It is a flutey timbre kind of like one singer, contrasted with the Choir Aahs which is the default timbre when you pick "Vocal" as an instrument. You can hear it at the beginning and in several other intermittent sections in this recording: https://youtu.be/0QTp9J_v-OM?t=5

The default sound for a solo singer would be "Voice Oohs"
