Hello all and many congrats to all involved in the development of MuseScore. I am following in the background your forum for some good weeks and I even succeeded to copy by hand a piece from a published song book. I saw MuseScore is evolving very quickly and my question is how to obtain a more up-to-date version, even alpha/beta, I am using Ubuntu 9.04 (9.10 very soon :)) We are intending to establish MuseScore as default editor/working partner for a church choir (mixed Windows and linux users), but first we need to check if all (almost) features needed are fulfilled, some of them (even some bugs) being already solved in the development version. I do not know how to compile such a version or where to obtain an already compiled one. Thank you very much !

If you are working with others then you should use the most recent stable release (version 0.9.5). Instructions are on the download page of this website.

If you want to experiment with the alpha/beta builds for personal use then look at the prereleases (instructions on the download page of this website). Please note that scores created using the prereleases will not open correctly in 0.9.5 or earlier due to a necessary change in the way triplets are handled.

It's working ! I will be careful about compatibiliy, at this stage we are just editing the plays in order to export them in PDF and creating the prints, next stage will be self study at home on the basis of the files distributed by the conductor, and then the compatibility issue will be critical. Than k you !!
