How to copy chord symbols

• Jun 4, 2020 - 23:51

I know I've done this in the past but can't remember how. I want to copy the chord symbols I've entered above a series of measures so I can paste them to another series of measures. Can you remind me? Thanks.

simply copy and past, . If only a few chords, select them with CTRL and copy and past where you want. If many chords, select first the selection of measures you want, then right click on a chord, and select all similar éléments in the selection.....all your chords become blue, copy and paste

The trick is remembering that "selecting" something doesn't mean that you've copied it. Once it's selected, you still have to copy it by Ctrl-C or Edit/Copy in order to put it on the clipboard, ready to paste. (Or you could hit "Delete" to erase those chord symbols if that's what you wanted to do.)

Hi Marc,
I am having trouble with copy-pasting chords. What I do: select a chord, right click select, select all similar elements, ctrl + c, select the note on the staff I want to paste, ctrl + v. This is not working. All I am able to do is is select a whole measure and copy-paste. Notes, chords included. I would just like to copy the chords on the different voicings. https://musescore.com/user/75925975/scores/13888891/s/GQs2JG

Fingers crossed I am doing something wrong and you can figure out what ;)
Thanks in advance!
