How to use a soundFont
I installed Sonatina Symphonic Orchestra soundfont on my Mac, but the instruments didn't match their names.
For example, the cello sounded like a xylophone. Am I doing something wrong?

As far as I know SSO is not a General MIDI compatible soundfont, so has the sounds in a different order as MuseScore expects them. So you'd need to go to the Mixer and manually assign the sounds to the instruments
