Updating TAB score from MS2 to MS3
I am updating a score from MS2 to MS3 format and taking the opportunity to reduce it from 4 voices to 2 voices with corrected rhythm stems. I have managed the first 4 bars but can't get a quaver rest to show on the first beat of bar 5 voice 1. Can I recover the missing voice 1 rests?

Yes, that's exactly what I want but I can't work out how to get that rest into the first beat of bar 5.
This is what happens:
1) Select Note input mode
2) Select quaver
3) Click on first beat of bar 5 to put a quaver on fret 0 of string 2
4) Press ESC to leave note input mode
So far so good!
5) With this new note selected, press the rest button in the toolbar
The quaver note on fret 0 disappears but is not replaced by a quaver rest.

Well, simply because, in your score, the option "Show rests" is unticked (in Staff Properties/ Advanced style properties / Note values)
