Creating new articulation
I need special articulation characters to indicate organ pedal "fingering" (left heel, left toe, etc.). I can create them myself but need info on how I can get them into the articulation palette.
Pardon my ignorance, I am just getting started with MuseScore, but so far I find it far superior to any of the numerous (expensive) tools I have attempted to use over the years.

Drag and drop it via ctrl+shift.
Note a variety of such characters are already available on the Symbols palette. Press "Z" to display, and search for "pedal". You can simply drag any of those to your favorite palette.

Can you explain me again how can I add this png file ?

If you want to add an image to your score, see: https://musescore.org/en/handbook/images.
After it If you want to add this image from the score to a palette, see: https://musescore.org/en/handbook/palettes#custom-palettes.
