Drums
Hello: I am looking to write my own sheet music for the drum. The version that I downloaded seems to play the piano when I play back what I have written. Please let me know how I can use it to write a drum score with it. Thank you! David

Is "Drumset" selected in the Mixer (F10)?
Which version of MuseScore and which operating system?
The problem should be solved by now, see #284426: Instruments play as piano with odd side effects
My guess is you tried entering notes into the default sciore that shows when you open the program. That won't work if you want to have drums. You need to actually add a drum instruments, via Edit / Instruments, or when you create a new score via File / New. See the Handbook under drum notation for more information.
