Update failure
Last week I started getting this message when I try to check for any new updates. "An error occurred in retrieving update information; are you connected to the internet? Please try again later."
Yesterday I installed Musescore on my laptop and I received the same message when I tried to update.
My current Musescore is Version: 3.4.2.9788, Revision: 148e43f and I'm running Windows 10 on both computers.
Thanks,
Rick

There is no newer release yet.
There is a 3.5 Release Candidate though

Confirmed. I get the same message when checking for update from 3.4.2. But as there is no update, it probably doesn't matter too much.

Windows 10 update bug?
some apps leave the operating system indicating that there is no connection. Like Cortana, Microsoft 365, OneDrive or Microsoft Store not only Microsoft apps, but also Spotify for example.

I believe that this started happening last week after I updated Windows 10. Is there a fix or will the new version take care of this?

It probably is related to 3.5 RC having been made available last week and might fix itself shortly when the final 3.5.0 gets released
