Score playback in Linux
Running Musescore3 on Linux Mint Mate 19.2, changed from Windows 7 last year. When playing a score back, there are frequently extraneous noises generated, similar to static, when the score calls for multiple notes, as in a chord. I know this is not a hardware issue, as music from other sources is faithfully reproduced. This never occurred previously in Win7 on either Musescore2 or 3. Anyone else running Linux have this experience?

A few people have reported issues, not just on Linux but other systems too. Different systems provide different audio devices and different drivers, so sometimes some experimentation is needed to figure out what is going on. Be sure to have the most recent device drivers, and maybe try other settings in Edit / Preferences / I/O. Do a search here and you may find other suggestion that worked for others.

Thanks for the suggestions. Looked at those settings but I'm not technically savvy enough to know what, if anything, to change. I'll do as you suggest and search this forum.
