Upper limit to Time Signature numerator?

• Aug 3, 2020 - 20:21

Musescore 3 allows the creation of custom time signatures directly from the palette. However if I select 1 (whole note) as the denominator and immediately input a large number into the numerator ( say three digits or more), this causes Musescore to stop responding under Windows 8. I believe the reason is that Musescore now has to calculate an enormous number of note groups to display and this simply takes a lot of processing power. I would suggest adding an upper limit to the numerator value (or at least disable the note groups dialog box if a huge numerator value is used).
