Software update
Was on version 3.4.2.9788, tried to update to version 3.5, now showing the app as version 3.3.4.9134.
What gives???

Update again
If need be uninstall 3.3.4, then install 3.5.0
Tried and tried again following your advice. Version 3.5 will not install on my Windows 10 64-bit laptop. It remains as version 3.3.4. As a thought, it seems to default to the Microsoft store to install, could this be the problem?

No, not really. First uninstall 3.3.4 via the control panel

Was able to install Version 3.5 by double-clicking the MuseScore-3.5.0-x86_64.msi file, then when the Microsoft store display appears, I selected '...install from outside the store' option.
