installation of latest version
Hello,
I have been trying to install the latest version of Musescore.
I had uninstalled the older version prior to installing the updated version.
I have tried numerous times but each time it hangs.
I have waited quite awhile between installations to see if it took an unusually long time to install but no luck.
Any ideas or suggestions?
I am using a fairly recent laptop with 16GB ram windows 10

No need to uninstall. the new version will replace the old (in case they are the same major version) or continue to peacefully coexist.
As to why the install hangs I have no idea, more likely a Windows/Microsoft issue than a MuseScore one I guess. Some Antivirus program maybe? (Not) Installing as Administrator?
