It feels like I have lots of reverb

Some time ago I developed a problem which manifested itself as having lots of reverb or delay (echo) when I played single instrument piano. Each note played would be echoed after a short delay. I asked for help through the forum and it was suggested that I might have an effect installed on the synth. On checking I found this to be correct and its removal sorted the problem.
Fast forward to yesterday, I installed the latest update for MuseScore 3 and when I tried to run it i Windows 10, it crashed. I tried a re-install and that did the same. In the end I uninstalled MuseScore and re-installed the older version.
When I run this version I get that reverb, but this time there is no effect in place on the synth.

Any ideas please?
