How to add notes into your triplet bracket.
I have my triplet but whenever I need to add a note inside it just says cannot insert chord/rest inside tuplet no matter what I do.

Please give an exact description of how you are trying to do it.
The problem sounds like you are in insert mode rather than step time (default) note entry mode. You cannot insert beats or notes into a triplet, you must use a note entry mode that does not insert new beats (which is any but the insert mode) and you cannot use shift+note name to insert a note either since this does the same thing as turning on insert mode.
