I uploaded Musescore and immediately upon trying to open it, it crashed. Any ideas?

Did you go to the MuseScore website in a browser that crashed, or did you use MuseScore on your computer that crashed? If it's the latter, I may have had something similar.

There's something else you may want to check.

In my case the computer was heating up and that caused it to crash. If the hard disk got warmer than 45 Celcius, this started to happen, especially when I was entering music. I was using MuseScore most of the time when this happened, but in retrospect I don't think it had to do with MuseScore. In Linux there's a utility, called "disks" that shows information about all hard disks, including the temperature:

While keeping an eye on the disk temperature, and when continuing to work on my computer, I noticed that this happened when the hard disk got too hot. After the computer had crashed, and after I rebooted, the hard disk had to be checked for errors and most of the time the errors could be automatically fixed.

I thought I'd toss this in. There's always a chance that a few others have the same.

If you think you have the same problem, and if your computer is older, then dust may be accumulating inside. That can cause the ventilator to cool less efficient.
