Modify Metronome

Is there a way to modify the metronome to count 1 & 2 & 3 & 4 &?

You can trick MuseScore. Create an 8/8 time signature with 4/4 beaming that has 4/4 as the displayed Time signature and MuseScore will count 8th notes up to about 180 BPM (quarter note) if my math is correct. After that it will count "1" (skip 2) "and" "4"... if I understand how compound time works. So expect it to be limited using this workaround.

Alternatively, add a woodblock instrument and write out the first measure of your pattern. Then replicate it across the entire score and finally hide the instrument.

One of the advantages is full control over the pattern, another is the possibility to include it during audio export.
