Timecode line in hh:mm:ss:ff

Hi everyone,

I would suggest a new feature for Musescore. I know that it was discussed some times before but "DIY answers" are not the point.

I work for films and when I have to write my scores I need timecode (hour:minute:second:frame)
showed on the main score for conductor.

In Presonus Notion, it is a simple line above others, and it works great (see picture below). I guess that feature needs a video playback support, isn't it ?

I love how musescore let us write freely our music, and how scores look in the end. But, unfortunately, this feature is necessary when your work for movies.

Thx

I'm curious if this could be done with a plugin? I'm not sure the timing is accessible through the API. I think you would only want to use this in unrolled scores if there are repeats for such a use.

hh:mm:ss might indeed be doable from a plugin, but that means it doesn't auto-update when tempo/score content changes. It's repeats and jumps that make this a more difficult thing.

Frame count makes less musical sense, so I'm not totally sure that it should be included. After all this is more related to the framerate used in your video project itself, which can commonly vary depending on the project.
I wonder whether going to hh:mm:ss,ms would satisfy those needs as well?
