MuseScore Failure Since Update

Since installing the recent MuseScore update, I am no longer able to use the program. I receive a message that says, "The exception Breakpoint has been reached, (0X80000003) occurred in the application OX00007FFD18290EE9. The message then tells me to click on OK to terminate the program. When I click ok, the same message comes back repeadedly. I was not having any problem with MuseScore until I did this update which I kindof regret at this point. Please advise, Ellen
