Blue band doesn't change page in playback

Not sure if this is specific to my MacOS system. The vertical blue band indicating the current notes in the bar being played doesn't cause a page turn in any of the view modes on my laptop as it moves across the page. Surely the pages should keep up . Is there a setting to fix this?
