MusicXML - rendering of text in <credit> elements
Observed on MuseScore 3.5.2/Windows 7
This is in regard to credit elements in incoming MusicXML files, and has been observed for credit-type values of 'subtitle', 'lyricist', and 'composer'.
When there are two or more credit-words elements in a element, MuseScore does not render the text of each of those credit-words elements, separately, as defined by its coordinates and alignment attributes. Rather, it combines the text of the several credit-words elements into a single line on-score. It may be that it is located as defined by the coordinates and alignment attributes of the first-appearing credit-words element.
It does not seem that this is appropriate.
For what it's worth, I note that when such a file is loaded into Finale, each of the credit-words elements' text is separately rendered as defined by its coordinates and alignment attributes.
Best regards,
Doug
