Additional Instrument Definition
I'm trying to use a second instrument file...
Preferences, Score, Default Files, Instrument list 2: C:\Program Files\MuseScore 3\instruments2.xml
The file contains a single instrument definition (have appended it) .
I'm trying to append the single instrument as suggested in the Instruments documentation.
Cannot get the instrument to appear anywhere. Obviously I'm doing something wrong but I can't see where.
Can you help please?

id="plucked-strings>There's and end quote missing there:
id="plucked-strings">Do NOT save your file in the Programs Files directory, but rather in your Documents folder. If it is part of the Program Files directory there is a very good chance that it will be removed by a software update.

After you put it in your documents directory make sure you tell MuseScore where it is in Edit->Preferences->Score->Isntrument list...
