Playing two different parts, i.e Trumpet 1&2, at the same time.
How can I play two different parts, i.e. Trumpet 1&2, or Trumpet and Piano at the same time instead of the full score?

There are a couple of options. Use File Parts, create one part and add both the trumpet and piano to that part. You will then only hear those instruments when you view the part for that tab. See https://musescore.org/en/handbook/parts#setup-parts for more info.
The other way is to open the mixer (F10) and click the Green S (solo) button for those instruments.
Which method you use depends upon what works better for you purpose.
