Tripla-time note values in color-group style

• Dec 28, 2020 - 23:16

Colored tripla-time appears since white mensural notation exists, stays till early 1600s in use.
It means, rhythm signs lost their values partly through filled up (mostly black).
Of several types, I would appreciate a late version, which can not be easily transcribed to modern notation without mixing up completely the rhythmic characters.

Mainly it works like this:
half beat = quaver / eighth
one beat = crotchet / quarter
two beats = black semibreve / black whole note
three beats = minim / half note
six beats = semibreve / whole note (white)

It appears both in staff notation (for songs, madrigals, motets etc.) and french tabulature for viola da gamba.
Since I could not find any way to take over this notation, I am happy for all suggestions!
Thank you your comments!
Bests, Dávid.
