Deleting Extra Rests
I'm writing using 4 voices, and the blue voice has extra rests above the lower staff. Is there a way I can delete these rests?

You have made the common mistake of using voices 3 and 4 in the lower staff. Each staff has four voices available to it and they should be used starting with 1 in both staves. You can resolve it by using [Tools]>[Voices] to exchange voice 1 and 3 and then put all the voice 4 notes into voice 2 by selecting them and pressing the voice 2 button on the toolbar. You will still have rests in the now empty voice 3 but those can be deleted by selecting them and pressing delete.
Read this https://musescore.org/en/handbook/voices for a description of how voices should be used. It is rarely necessary to use voice 3 and even more rare to need to use voice 4.

Ah, thanks. I didn't know each stave had its own set of voices.
When you write tenor and bass music, always uses voices 1 and 2 on the bass staff. The voices on the staff are not releated to sung voices in any meaningful way.
